Short Biography
Audrey received a bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology from Harvard College in May 2019 and joined the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences as a PhD student in September 2019. As an undergraduate, she studied microglial regulation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cell (OPC) population dynamics after optic nerve injury in the lab of Zhigang He (HMS/BCH). She has previously trained in the lab of Li-Huei Tsai, where she used induced pluripotent stem cells to understand the effects of Alzheimer’s disease genetic risk variants on OPC biology. In the Heiman lab, Audrey studies the heterogeneity of OPCs in normal aging and neurodegeneration.
