Short Biography
Jessie was born in Shandong, China, and grew up in Houston, Texas. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022, she moved to the National Institutes of Health, where she studied the interplay between DNA repair responses and metabolic pathways in solid tumors in Dr. Urbain Weyemi’s lab. Jessie joined Dr. Myriam Heiman’s lab in 2024 through the MIT Biology PhD program, and she will be studying the influence of OPCs during neurodegeneration and aging.
