Suphinya (Bee) was born and raised in Lamphun, Thailand. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Northeastern University in December 2018. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Lee-Parsons lab studying the production pathways of the anti-cancer drugs in the medicinal plant, Catharanthus roseus. Before joining the Ph.D. program in the MIT Department of Biology in Fall 2019, she worked as an Associate Scientist in the Technology Development Group at KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. She joined the Heiman lab in Fall 2020 and is now working on in-vivo genetic screening in the central nervous system.
